Season for Nonviolence

January 30th - April 4th

The Season for Nonviolence was launched at the United Nations in 1998 and spans the dates between the memorial anniversary of the assassinations of Mohandas K. Gandhi on January 30 and of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4.

According to the Gandhi Institute, "The Season teaches that every person can move the world forward in the direction of peace through daily nonviolent choices and actions."
